On flights within Brazil, a first checked bag costs US$35 to 45 and a second US$45 to 50 when bought more than 48 hours ahead, US$45 to 50 and US$50 to 60 within 48 hours, and US$50 and US$60 at the airport. On flights to or from the United States, a first bag costs US$100 and a second US$125 bought more than 48 hours ahead, or US$125 and US$175 within 48 hours; flights to Europe charge the same amounts in euros, and flights within South America US$60 and US$80. The MaisAzul fare includes one 23 kg bag on flights in Brazil and South America, and the Economy MaisAzul fare includes one on flights to the United States and Europe, where Economy Azul Super includes two and Business three. Each bag may weigh up to 23 kg and measure up to 158 cm in total dimensions. Heavier bags are accepted as excess baggage up to 45 kg on flights to and from Brazil, the United States and Latin America, and up to 32 kg on flights in Europe. Excess weight or size costs US$50 on flights within Brazil, US$150 on flights to or from the United States or Europe, and US$60 on flights to or from Latin America.

Musical instruments: Acoustic and electric guitars can travel in place of the 10 kg carry-on allowance. Large instruments such as a bass drum, double bass, tuba or cello go as special baggage in a rigid case, for a service fee of R$ 250 within Brazil, R$ 370 to or from South America, and R$ 790 to or from the US and Europe.

In-cabin pet (dogs and cats only) is USD 55 per leg on flights within Brazil or between Brazil and South America (or BRL 320 / EUR 55), on any fare. Between Brazil and the US or Europe it is USD 250 per leg in Economy and USD 300 in Business. Pet plus carrier is capped at 10 kg (22 lbs) and the carrier at 43 x 31.5 x 20 cm.
