Disney Cruise Line Guide

Most onboard dining venues follow a cruise casual dress code, with polished casual pieces such as khakis, slacks or nice jeans with collared or polo shirts, dresses, skirts and stylish tops. Shorts, T-shirts and sundresses are fine, but swimwear and tank tops are not permitted.

At embarkation, guests 21 and older (18 and older on round-trip cruises from Singapore) may bring one unopened bottle of wine or sparkling wine up to 750 ml, or six beers up to 12 ounces each. Alcohol must be in original unopened containers and hand-carried, not packed in checked bags. Alcohol bought in ports of call is collected and stored until the end of the cruise.

Disney Cruise Line recommends a gratuity of $16.00 per night per guest, including children, for standard staterooms. It covers the dining room server, assistant server, head server, and stateroom host. Guests in Concierge staterooms and suites are recommended $27.25 per night per guest, which adds the Concierge team. A separate 18% gratuity is added to bar, beverage, adult dining, and spa purchases.

Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is allowed only in designated deck areas that differ by ship. Disney Wish, Treasure, and Destiny: Deck 14 forward and aft and Deck 4 aft, all port side, any time. Disney Magic and Wonder: Deck 4 outdoors on the starboard side from 6 PM to 6 AM, and Deck 9 forward on the port side any time. Disney Dream and Fantasy: the Deck 4 Promenade aft on the port side from 6 PM to 6 AM, Deck 12 aft through the Meridian Lounge, and Deck 13 forward near Currents Bar. Disney Adventure: Deck 7 forward, Deck 17 forward in the Concierge Lounge for Concierge guests, and Deck 18 aft at the Marvel Landing Infinity Pool Sundeck.

Two plans are offered. The Internet Package covers social media, messaging apps, audio and video calls, short-form video, web browsing and email, but not YouTube or long-form streaming such as Disney+ and Hulu. The Internet + Streaming Package adds faster speeds and full streaming, including Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music. Packages are bought in the Navigator app once you are onboard.

Internet runs over satellite, so it may be slower than on land and can be interrupted or unavailable at times. Disney also offers Cellular at Sea for limited calls, texts and light data in international waters.
