Casual wear is recommended for daytime, and shorts and T-shirts are permitted. In the evening MSC recommends a more polished look for the main dining rooms, specialty restaurants, theatre, bars, and lounges, such as collared shirts, tailored trousers or shorts, skirts, and dresses. On Gala Night, guests can wear a tuxedo, suit and tie, evening gown, cocktail dress, or their best jeans and polo shirt. Shorts, flip-flops, and tank tops are not allowed for evening wear or Gala Night in the main dining rooms, specialty restaurants, or MSC Yacht Club, and T-shirts are not allowed on Gala Night. Swimwear is never allowed in formal dining venues, and posted rules outside the buffet apply.

MSC does not allow guests to bring alcohol aboard unless specifically permitted by security. Security may inspect any container and will dispose of concealed alcohol. Alcohol bought in the onboard shops or in ports must be handed to security when you re-board; it is held by the ship and returned just before the end of the cruise.

MSC adds a daily Hotel Service Charge per person per night. On Caribbean, Alaska, and US sailings booked from May 11, 2026 it is $17 for standard staterooms and $23 for MSC Yacht Club, for guests 2 and older; children under 2 are not charged. Onboard bar purchases carry an automatic 18% gratuity on North America itineraries and 15% on European, Emirates, South Caribbean, Red Sea, South American, and Far East itineraries.

MSC ships are non-smoking except for designated areas marked by signage and ashtrays. The only indoor exception is the casino, where smoking is allowed during opening hours for guests who are seated and playing.

The Browse Cruise Package covers messaging, email, web browsing, and most social media apps, but not video chat or dedicated streaming sites such as YouTube or Netflix. The Browse and Stream Cruise Package adds full internet access at higher speeds, including video streaming. Plans cover 1, 2, 3, or 4 devices, and a one-device 24-hour pass is sold onboard only. Wi-Fi covers all public areas and most cabins.

The connection is satellite-based, so speed and stability vary with weather and the ship's position. Once activated, a device is locked to the package for the whole cruise and cannot be swapped. You can upgrade from Browse to Browse and Stream or add devices (up to four) and pay only the difference, but downgrades are not possible. All plans include unlimited data under a fair use policy that may temporarily slow heavy usage.
