Norwegian Alcohol Policy

Not allowed

NCL does not allow guests to bring alcohol aboard for consumption, with one exception: you may bring wine and champagne, but a corkage fee applies whenever it is served or consumed anywhere on the ship, including your stateroom. Boxed wine is not allowed. Any liquor or beer bought in ports or onboard shops is held by the ship and returned on the final night.

Corkage is $15 per 750 ml bottle and $30 per 1.5 liter magnum. Guests who buy a beverage package, or receive one through the Free at Sea / More at Sea promotion, are not charged corkage.

Offered

Norwegian offers a drink package but does not publish a fixed daily price. It is quoted by ship and sailing when you book.

You must be 21 or older to buy or consume alcohol on US sailings. In international waters, guests 18 to 20 may drink beer and wine only with parental consent via NCL's waiver form. Consent is not permitted in Alaska, Hawaii, or Asia waters. On round-trip Australian, European, and New Zealand itineraries, guests 18 and older may drink without parental consent.

NCL sells an Unlimited Open Bar / Premium Beverage Package, often bundled through the Free at Sea (now branded More at Sea) promotion, plus a Premium Plus upgrade. A 20% gratuity and beverage service charge is added at checkout. The daily price of the alcohol package is not published as a fixed rate. Fixed daily prices exist only for non-alcoholic packages: the Unlimited Pop Package at $12.50 per person per day and the Unlimited Starbucks Package at $16.50, each plus 20%. Guests may not bring any beverages aboard, including water and soda, except sealed water for medical or infant use.
