Allowed, with limits

At embarkation each guest of legal drinking age may bring one bottle of wine or champagne up to 750 ml per voyage, presented to security. There is no corkage fee if you drink it in your stateroom. Only wine and champagne are allowed; liquor, spirits, and beer are prohibited. Duty-free alcohol bought in the ship's shops or in port is held and returned on the last night.

A $20 per bottle corkage fee applies if you take your one allowed bottle into the ship's public areas rather than your stateroom, and on each additional bottle beyond the one-per-guest allowance wherever it is consumed.

Standalone beverage packages are the Plus Beverage Package at $64.99 per day, the Premier Beverage Package at $84.99, and a Zero-Alcohol Package at $29.99, each plus a 20% service charge. Separately, the Princess Plus ($65 per person per day) and Princess Premier ($100) fare bundles include a drinks allowance along with Wi-Fi, crew appreciation, and casual dining.

On US-based ships the minimum drinking age is 21, verified by photo ID, and under-21 guests must share a stateroom with someone 21 or older. The Passage Contract allows a lower age on some sailings, such as 20 from Japan and 18 on various international departures.

Bottled non-alcoholic drinks are prohibited, though a small quantity of canned or cartoned non-alcoholic drinks may be brought aboard on embarkation day. Luggage is scanned and out-of-policy alcohol is removed. The cruise fare excludes beer, wine, spirits, and sodas unless you buy a package or bundle.
