How many bags you can bring on a Virgin cruise in 2026, weight limits in pounds and kilograms, what to keep in your carry-on, and the embarkation-day rules that catch first-timers out.

Quick answer
Virgin publishes no strict bag count or per-bag weight limit. You may bring a reasonable amount of luggage that fits in your stateroom, and a carry-on you keep with you on embarkation day is permitted.

Yes
Virgin Voyages publishes no luggage allowance: it sets no limit on the number of bags a Sailor may bring and no per-bag weight limit. It does recommend limiting bags because cabin storage is limited and to keep embarkation moving. Sailors drop the main bag at check-in for delivery to the cabin and carry a small bag of essentials aboard. Every piece must be labeled with the Sailor's name, ship, cabin number, and sailing date.
Carry-on essentials
Virgin collects your checked bags at the pier and delivers them to your stateroom over the first several hours aboard, sometimes not until dinnertime. Carry anything you need before then in the bag you keep with you.
Keep in your carry-on
- Passport, boarding pass, and payment cards
- Medication and anything medically necessary
- Swimsuit and a change of clothes for day one
- Phone, chargers, and valuables
Pack in checked bags
- Evening and formal-night outfits
- Toiletries over carry-on liquid sizes
- Shoes, layers, and bulkier clothing
- Everything tagged with your Virgin Voyages luggage tags
